Wabash County has a wealth of educational opportunities for all ages. Our three major school corporations, Manchester Community Schools, MSD Wabash County and Wabash City Schools -- boast next-level curriculums that allow for students to possess an education that fits their goals, encourages their interests, highlights their strengths and strengthens their weaknesses. Many of our schools offer dual-credit courses that allow students to take actual college courses, helping them get ahead academically and financially by awarding them actual college credit hours before they event graduate high school!
In the interest of becoming a globally-minded community, some of our elementary schools have successfully implemented Spanish dual-language immersion classrooms to encourage our youngest students to begin to learn a second language. High school student now have the opportunity at Wabash High School to study the Japanese language and participate in student exchange programs to broaden their horizons of cultural education and awareness.
For students looking for a different post-graduate route, there are many educational pathways to help them find their way. Heartland Career Center serves students from four different counties and provides high quality instruction in a variety of vocations such as health sciences, automotive, criminal justice and CNC machinery.
