The Honor Student Luncheon stands as one of Grow Wabash County's most successful events year after year, thanks in part to the overwhelming support of the Wabash County business community. This is just a small step in the effort to cultivate the "brain gain" in Wabash County and build our future workforce. We need the support of local businesses and employers to accomplish this goal.

Agriculture is an incredibly important industry in Wabash County. Not only do our local producers and farm families feed the community, but their products are shipped and delivered across the country to feed people all over the United States.

In recognition of these hard-working farmers, Grow Wabash County hosts the annual Salute to Ag Dinner where we highlight the great things happening in our local ag industry as well as recognize the Farm Family of the Year, which is annually awarded to a local farm family that has gone above and beyond in the local ag industry.

The annual State of Our Communities event invites our local stakeholders, partners, neighbors and friends to enjoy breakfast while networking with others and hearing from local community leaders about the past year's accomplishments and the plans in place for the upcoming year.

Join Grow Wabash County for its annual WACCY Golf Outing, sure to provide all the fun and competition that have become synonymous with this event.

The Grow Wabash County Ambassadors are a dynamic group of community-minded volunteers who serve as enthusiastic advocates for our mission. Ambassadors help welcome new businesses, support ribbon cuttings and special events, and strengthen connections throughout Wabash County. Through their involvement, ambassadors play a key role in promoting economic growth, community engagement, and business development across the region.

Distinguished Citizen of the Year award.

Grow Wabash County, in its ongoing efforts to retain talent and grow the population, enjoys celebrating Wabash County's best and brightest graduates. This event takes place every spring and invites the top 20% of students from each high school graduating class to enjoy a meal and connect with students and local professionals that are pursuing or currently work in these students' fields of interest.

The Leadership Development of Wabash County (LDWC) program is the premier leadership development program in the area. Every year, a cohort of up to 25 young professionals and emerging leaders participate in this 8-month program that allows them to hone their leadership skills, network with their fellow leaders and forge a bond with the Wabash County community that will serve them and the communities for years to come.

You can order gift checks by emailing jana@growwabashcounty.com by calling 260-563-5258.

1. Specify how many checks you would like to purchase and what those monetary increments will be.
   • PRO TIP: In the interest of ensuring that the gift checks are able to be used at GWC investors in their entirety, we recommend ordering smaller increments or breaking down larger amounts into multiple checks of smaller increments ($25 or less is ideal)
2. Your order will be ready within a a few days (may take longer for larger orders)
3. Bring payment (cash or check) when you pick up your checks at the GWC office. We cannot accept credit or debit cards for payment.
4. Give them to your friends, family and coworkers to enjoy!

As a business owner, how should I handle receiving Grow Wabash County Gift Checks?

1. Inform each person on your staff who is responsible for cash handling that these Grow Wabash County Gift Checks may be accepted.
2. To verify authenticity of the Gift Check, be sure to check the security features on the Sample Gift Check.
3. Make sure the check is not expired! Gift Checks are good for no more than ONE (1) YEAR after issuance.
4. Gift checks are live checks and can be deposited as such. Simply deposit the Gift Check into your business bank account to receive the money.
5. When the Gift Check is electronically scanned, do NOT return the certificate to the customer.
6. The Gift Check is to be used for purchases of products/services of Grow Wabash County investors. They are NOT to be redeemed for cash, and must be used in ONE transaction.
7. This program will NOT interfere with your store gift card program.
