Grow Wabash County Gift Checks Spark Shopping Local

WABASH COUNTY, IN – Grow Wabash County is encouraging everyone to shop local this holiday season by purchasing Grow Wabash County gift checks which can be used at almost 300 local businesses and organizations in and around Wabash County.

Grow Wabash County gift checks (formerly known as Chamber Gift Checks prior to 2017) are gift certificates that can be redeemed at any business or organization that is a current Grow Wabash County investor.

In 2020, nearly $60,000 was spent locally within Wabash County with this shop local gift check program.

“The holiday shopping season is an incredibly important one for Wabash County businesses of all sizes,” Keith Gillenwater, president and CEO of Grow Wabash County, said. “Grow Wabash County gift checks are a great way to encourage shopping local because the gift checks give the recipients the freedom to use the gift checks as they wish while also keeping money circulating through the Wabash County business community. It is a gift that keeps on giving!”

Since gift checks can only be spent at Grow Wabash County investors, businesses that are not currently members that would like to participate in this year’s program are encouraged to reach out to  for more information at 260.563.5258 or by filling out a membership application at www.growwabashcounty.com/invest.

Businesses that are not currently a Grow Wabash County investor should not be accepting gift checks from customers.

Gift checks can be purchased from Grow Wabash County by contacting Chelsea at marketing@growwabashcounty.com or 260-563-5258. Gift checks must be paid up front with cash or check, credit/debit card payments are not accepted for gift check orders.

The last day to order gift checks will be Monday, Dec. 20 and gift check orders may be picked up no later than Wednesday, Dec. 22.
