Mps Egg Farms Selected as 2021 Business of the Year

August 2, 2021

WABASH, IN – Grow Wabash County is thrilled to announce that MPS Egg Farms has been selected as the 2021 Business of the Year and will be honored during Grow Wabash County’s Annual Dinner Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 14 at the Honeywell Center.

“We are honored to be recognizing the impact that MPS Egg Farms has made on the Wabash County community,” Keith Gillenwater, President and CEO of Grow Wabash County, said. “MPS Egg Farms and the Krouse and Grant families have been incredible champions of Wabash County. In addition to having great success as one of the top egg farms in the Midwest, MPS  has also devoted itself to serving the Wabash County community.”

MPS’s history in Wabash County dates back to 1875 when the Strauss Family built  a water-powered grain mill on the Eel River in North Manchester.  In 1968, Don Strauss shifted focus from supplying feed, to production and marketing of eggs on their own farms.

Today, MPS Egg Farms produces over 10 million eggs daily with farms in Indiana, Illinois and Texas.  These eggs are packaged and sold to retail grocers throughout the United States. In addition to growing as a company, MPS and the Krouse and Grant families have expanded their service to Wabash County by serving on various boards and committees focused on the betterment of our communities and providing generous donations to local schools and families in need.

“On behalf of the approximately 500 people who work for MPS and make it the exceptional company it is today, I would like to say what an honor it is for all of us to be selected as the 2021 Business of the Year.”  Bob Krouse, CEO of MPS Egg Farms, said.

Registration is now open for tickets and sponsorships for the 2021 Annual Dinner Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Legacy Hall at the Honeywell Center.

Businesses and individuals are encouraged to join Grow Wabash County in honoring MPS Egg Farms by registering for tickets and/or sponsorships at www.growwabashcounty.com/2021annualdinner.
