CNC Certification Program to Begin May 17

Wabash County, IN __Grow Wabash County and its many partners including Ivy Tech Community College and Heartland Career Center encourage Wabash County residents to register for the upcoming CNC Class Mille & Lathe certification set to begin on Monday, May 17 at the Heartland Career Center, 79 S 200 W, Wabash. This class will run through September 22, meeting 4-8 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday.
Students that successfully complete this course will receive hands-on training in the essential skills of the trade including the programming of industrial metalworking machines, instruction on the terminology and mathematics of programming and how to properly read formulas and blueprints.
Tuition for this course is $3,000 and applicants have multiple financial aid options to cover up to the full tuition amount. There are currently scholarship funds available through the Workforce Ready Grant program, which can be awarded to students over the age of 18 that live in Indiana and currently possess a high school/HSE/GED but do not have a degree past high school.
Scholarships are also available for Wabash County residents thanks to the generous support of the Community Foundation of Wabash County and the Wabash County United Fund.
