Jalapeno Baja adds spice to Wabash County community

    June 21, 2023

Wabash County, IN  – Grow Wabash County invites the community to join us in celebrating the opening of Jalapeno Baja with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 25.

“We are excited to bring the Wabash community a new way to enjoy Mexican cuisine including our salsa bar stocked with multiple options ranging from mild to hot,” Gabriel Ugalde, owner, said. “Our menu brings fresh ingredients made daily in house. We look forward to becoming a favorite in Wabash as a quick, convenient, delicious place to enjoy a meal.”

Jalapeno Baja, owned and operated by the Ugalde family, who also currently owns and operates the Fried Egg Restaurant, serves up Mexican food in a do-it-yourself format. Their restaurant lets you choose everything from your meat and cheese to your toppings and special add-ons to make your Mexican meal unique and delicious.

“Wabash County is blessed with many restaurants, especially a number of family-owned Mexican restaurants,” Keith Gillenwater, president and CEO of Grow Wabash County, said. “We are glad to see Jalapeno Baja bring a unique Mexican food experience to the table and we are excited to see how they are able to add their own unique flavor to Wabash County’s culinary offerings.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony will start at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, at Jalapeno Baja, 1015 North Cass Street in Wabash. Guests will be invited after the ceremony to enjoy refreshments and get to know the Jalapeno Baja team.
