February 12, 2024
Wabash County, IN – Grow Wabash County, in partnership with the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC), is excited to be hosting Della Kirkman, CPA, owner of Shift-N-Gears, for an upcoming “Buying or Selling a Business” lunch and learn event.
This educational event will feature Kirkman who will talk about how to strategize buying a business from the ground up, including discussions on the pros and cons for buying a business over launching a start-up and how to find the funding and necessary resources to actually buy a business.
“Buying an existing business gives you instant success with built-in customers, automatic product/market fit and profit in your pocket on day one,” Kirkman said.
Kirkman is a successful entrepreneur and is the publisher of Shift-N-Gears.com, a bi-weekly newsletter focused on empowering women to buy, grow and sell small businesses.
"This workshop is one of several we are hosting throughout the year focused on helping to support our local entrepreneurs and small business community,” Jana Thibos, project manager for investor services and events, said. “We are blessed to have such great partners in the NIIC who have helped us develop and present some excellent programming to help our local businesses thrive in Wabash County.”
The “Buying and Selling a Business” Lunch & Learn will take place on Wednesday, March 13, at 11:30 a.m. in the Grow Wabash County community room, 214 South Wabash Street in Wabash. This event is free to attend for active Grow Wabash County investors and $15 for non-investors. Lunch will be provided.
