HLC Studios to celebrate grand opening with First Friday ribbon cutting

September 10, 2024

Wabash County, IN – Grow Wabash County and Downtown Wabash, Inc. will host a ribbon-cutting on Friday, October 4, to celebrate the grand opening of HLC Studios.

"Grow Wabash County is excited to announce another new small business in the heart of Downtown Wabash,” Jana Thibos, project manager for Events & Investor Services at Grow Wabash County, said. “When HLC Studios opens their doors, it signifies more than just a new address—it’s a commitment to the vibrant pulse of this community."

HLC Studios will feature handmade products from multiple vendors including the owner, Kimberly Alexander. Alexander, who is a Wabash County transplant from California, spent years selling her products at booths during craft fairs and in similar downtown businesses. These prior experiences ultimately inspired her to explore opportunities to establish her own brick-and-mortar location, which brought her to the corner of Miami and Market Streets in downtown Wabash.

“I almost feel like the people on Market Street are family and I’ve only been there a month,” Alexander said “I am so grateful to be a part of Downtown Wabash and I’m loving every minute of it. Thank you, Wabash.”

"It’s always a proud moment when we welcome a new business to our downtown community,” Kristen Petruniw, executive director of Downtown Wabash, Inc., said. “HLC Studios is a perfect fit for the growing energy and vibrancy we’re seeing downtown. Every new business adds to the character and vitality of Downtown Wabash, and we’re excited to see the impact HLC Studios will have.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 4 at HLC Studios, 189 South Miami Street in Wabash.
