Bubbles & Boba to celebrate grand opening in downtown Wabash

September 13, 2024

Wabash County, IN – Grow Wabash County and Downtown Wabash, Inc. are excited to be welcoming Bubbles & Boba to the local business community during its grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Oct. 18.

"Grow Wabash County is thrilled to announce the grand opening of Bubbles & Boba in downtown Wabash,” Jana Thibos, project manager for investor services and events, said. “Join us as we celebrate with a burst of bubbles and the refreshing delight of boba. This exciting new venture is set to add a touch of sweetness and a lot of energy to our vibrant community. Here’s to new beginnings and the fun ahead!"

Bubbles & Boba is owned and operated by Jenni and Tim Nelson who have already established themselves as fixtures on the Wabash County cuisine scene with their food truck, Tim’s Thai 2 Go.

“It’s always exciting to see new businesses choose to be part of our vibrant downtown community, and Bubbles and Boba is a fantastic addition,” Kristen Petruniw, executive director of Downtown Wabash, Inc., said. “Boba tea is not only a fun and unique offering, but it also brings something fresh and exciting to our downtown. I want to congratulate Tim and Jenni for their vision and hard work in bringing this dream to life.”

This brick and mortar shop will feature the wildly popular teas and drinks that the Nelsons have sold at the truck, while also adding new beverages and dishes to the menu. Bubbles & Boba will offer Pho (Vietnamese soup dish), as well as popular Asian desserts and baked goods from North Manchester-based The Baker’s Daughter.

“Bubbles & Boba is honored to have a home in the Downtown Wabash Cultural District,” Jenni Nelson said. “We’re excited to bring a vibrant and trendy addition to Wabash County’s expanding diverse culinary lineup. With a focus on quality, community, and the bubble tea experience, we hope to become a favorite destination for not only bubble tea enthusiasts but also food lovers. Ultimately, we hope to continue positively contributing to our Wabash community through Bubbles & Boba and Tim’s THAI2GO.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 18, at 257 S Miami Street in Wabash. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to say hello to Tim, Jenni and the rest of the Bubbles & Boba team while also sampling new and old favorites from the menu.
