Wabash County, IN – Grow Wabash County, in partnership with Northeast Indiana Works, will be hosting a Community Response Resource and Job Fair on Monday, Oct. 21.

“Grow Wabash County is acutely aware of the challenges these recent layoffs and business closures pose for people across Wabash County. In partnership with Northeast Indiana Works, local employers, and community organizations, we are dedicated to supporting displaced workers by helping them navigate their next steps, including finding new employment opportunities close to home, and providing the necessary guidance and resources to move forward,” said Tenille Zartman, President & CEO of Grow Wabash County.

The fair will include booths of local employers to showcase their open job opportunities, information on post-secondary education options, as well as representatives from Northeast Indiana Works to walk visitors through everything from mock interviews to revamping resumes. Information on services offered by WorkOne Northeast will also be available.

“Layoffs and closures are always unsettling to people,” said Rick Farrant, director of communications for Northeast Indiana Works. “The good thing is there are many resources available for people, including those provided at this fair, to assist them in moving forward.”

The Community Response Resource and Job Fair will take place on Monday, Oct. 21, from 1 – 6 p.m. in Legacy Hall at the Honeywell Center, 275 W. Market Street in Wabash. This event is free for the community to attend.

Wabash County employers and resource providers interested in setting up a booth at the fair are asked to contact Chelsea Parson at chelsea@growwabashcounty.com to save their spot.
