Wabash County, IN – The Wabash County community is invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, November 15, to celebrate the completed renovations of the Wabash Carnegie Public Library (WCPL).

“The renovation and expansion of the Wabash Carnegie Public Library further enhances the library’s role as an important resource and transforms it into a lively hub for collaboration, creativity, and learning,” Tenille Zartman, president & CEO of Grow Wabash County, said. “By improving this key community asset, we are investing in a better quality of life for everyone in Wabash. We’re excited to see how this new space will empower individuals, foster connections, and support our community’s growth for years to come.”

Over the last several months, the library has undergone renovations that included a 4,400 square foot expansion, the revamp of new study and meeting rooms, additional collection space as well as improvements to update the infrastructure and its accessibility for all patrons.

“Following an extensive renovation and expansion project, we are thrilled to be able to open the entire building once again,” Rachel Castle, community outreach manager for WPCL, said. “We are excited to share new and renewed spaces, resources, and services with the entire community. Our staff is eager to welcome everyone back and we are excited about the possibilities this renovation brings for lifelong learning, collaboration, and discovery. We appreciate the patience and support we have received throughout this process, and we can’t wait to see everyone at the newly revitalized library.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 15, at the Wabash Carnegie Public Library, 188 West Hill Street in Wabash. Following the ceremony, guests and patrons of the library are encouraged to explore the new space and learn about all of the great offerings that the library has for the community.
