GWC to host “Stellar-bration” at 2025 State of Our Communities event
January 5, 2025
Wabash County, IN – Registration is now open for Grow Wabash County’s annual State of Our Communities event scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Honeywell Center.
This highly anticipated event, established in 2018, serves as a celebration of our local government partners, providing them with a platform to share their community’s successes, highlight key achievements, and offer updates on the plans that will shape the future of Wabash County.
The theme of this year’s event will be “A Stellar-bration" in honor of Wabash County’s recent designation as a Stellar Pathways community by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
This celebration will feature representatives from each incorporated community in Wabash County, including Tracie Hensley with the Town of LaFontaine; Kristie Bone with the Town of Lagro; Adam Penrod with the Town of North Manchester; Bob Ferguson with the Town of Roann; Mayor Scott Long with the City of Wabash; as well as Jeff Dawes with the Wabash County Commissioners.
Each representative will have the opportunity to share the accomplishments their communities celebrated in 2024 and the plans they have for 2025 and beyond to continue the momentum of countywide growth and success, with a focus on how the Stellar Pathways program will impact and support these goals.
“The State of Our Communities event is a celebration of incredible leaders and strong partnerships that continually work to make our county an exceptional place to live,” said Tenille Zartman, President & CEO of Grow Wabash County. “This year, following our Stellar Pathways designation a few weeks ago, we’re thrilled to highlight representatives from each of our communities as they share exciting projects made possible through this transformative state grant program. These projects will shape a brighter future for our county and show just how much we can accomplish when we work together with a shared vision for what’s ahead."
The event will begin with breakfast in Legacy Hall starting at 8:00 a.m. with presentations to begin shortly after.
Registration for sponsorships and tickets are now open for the 2025 State of Our Communities event on the Grow Wabash County website or by contacting Jana Thibos at jana@growwabashcounty.com or 260-563-5258.
