Little Adventurers - Kids Summer Day Camp Tour Returns

Wabash, IND. - Visit Wabash County officials to announce the return of a fan favorite tour. Kids Adventure Camp program will be a weeklong camp, June 15th to 19th, aboard Trolley No.85. Each day of camp is thoughtfully designed to provide hands-on learning experiences that introduce students to the natural resources, industries, history, and career pathways that shape Wabash County.
Trolley No.85 will pick up at the Welcome Center at 8:30 AM sharp every morning and drop off at the Welcome Center at 12:30 PM. Have your kiddo join Visit Wabash County for a week filled with exploring Wabash County through hands-on activities, farm visits, and outdoor adventures, connecting campers to the rural communities that shape Wabash County, fostering curiosity, appreciation, and a love for the land. The week-long program is limited to 25 kids with a ticket price of $50 and 3 adult chaperone tickets, with a ticket price of $100 per rider. The age range is 7 to 12 years old. All adult volunteers and chaperones must pass a background check. Thanks to our Champion sponsor, Bowen Health, youth tickets are 50% off this year.

Start the week off by meeting Jennifer, Stephanie, and Daisy at the Welcome Center, home of Trolley No.85 in downtown Wabash. Monday morning, explore Indiana’s wildlife in Somerset with fishing, hiking, medicinal plant identification, and more. On Tuesday, learn about mining at West Plains Mining in Richvally, with an underground tour to get a close look into the process, then head to Bass & Bucks for an interactive lesson about archery. On Wednesday, enjoy a picnic in a round barn, see a working windmill and covered bridge, then visit with the Wabash City Street Department and Wabash City Police Department to learn more. On Thursday take a tour of Kipster (MPS Eggs) and learn more about chickens and eggs, get a history lesson at North Manchester Center for History and take a fun dive into Wabash County agriculture & interesting history. Round out the week in Lagro and Wabash with a tour of the Wabash Courthouse with Mr. Woodward, an interactive lesson about horses at Reins and Rainbow Equine & guided creek exploration at Hathaway Preserve at Ross Run.
