Bandidos to celebrate grand opening of downtown Wabash location
July 1, 2026
Wabash County, IN (JULY 1, 2026) – Grow Wabash County and Downtown Wabash, Inc. are excited to be teaming up to host a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of Bandidos Grill & Cantina’s new downtown location.
“We are proud to welcome Bandidos Grill & Cantina to downtown Wabash. New investments like this strengthen our local economy while enhancing the vibrancy and experience of our downtown district. It’s exciting to see continued momentum in creating spaces where residents and visitors can connect, dine, and enjoy all that Wabash has to offer,” said Jana Thibos, Investor Services & Event Project Manager at Grow Wabash County.
“At Bandidos Grill and Cantina, our story begins with three friends who once worked together at Los Tres Caminos Mexican Restaurant in Peru, Indiana. One day, we sat together and shared a dream: to open our own restaurant, a place where we could celebrate great food, bold flavors, and the vibrant spirit of Mexican cuisine. From that dream, Bandidos was born. We chose the name because it felt strong and unique, perfectly capturing the essence of what we wanted to create—a lively, welcoming space where everyone can enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and unforgettable memories. We’re proud to bring our vision to life and invite you to join us on this exciting journey. Welcome to Bandidos Grill and Cantina, where great food and great company come together!”
"We are thrilled to welcome Banditos to our downtown district! Their contribution to the vibrancy, livability, and community engagement has immediately been apparent. Victor has been incredibly kind and passionate and has a wonderful and welcoming staff,” said Mikka Hunt, Executive Director at Downtown Wabash Inc.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for Bandidos Grill & Cantina will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at 256 Miami Street in Wabash.
