WACCY Golf Outing returns to the greens June 3

Wabash County, IN – The Wabash County business and professional community is invited to join Grow Wabash County at the Honeywell Public Golf Course for a day of golf, networking, and friendly competition at its annual WACCY Golf Outing.  

This year’s outing will take place on Wednesday, June 3 at the Honeywell Golf Course, 3360 Niccum Rd in Wabash, IN.

As is tradition, this year’s WACCY Golf Outing will be more than just a golf outing. In addition to each team vying to take the WACCY Championship Belt away from the 2025 winners: Bachelor Creek Church of Christ, there will be challenges scattered across the course to test each team’s skills, like Longest Drive, Longest Putt, and Closest to the pin.

“The WACCY Golf Outing is one of our favorite traditions because it brings together the Wabash County business community in a fun, relaxed setting,” said Jana Thibos, Investor Services & Event/Marketing Project Manager of Grow Wabash County. “It’s a great opportunity to build relationships, enjoy a day on the course, and celebrate the spirit of friendly competition.”

The 2026 outing will also see the return of the fan favorite, Golf Ball Cannon, to ensure this year’s outing is a blast for everyone. The 50-50 Putting Green Contest will be a featured event, and the ever-popular game boosters such as Mulligans, Pick-A-Putts and Bad Player Insurance will be available for purchase.  

Registration is $550 per four-person team, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, access to a catered lunch, and the chance to win a whole assortment of games and prizes.

This year’s outing will offer two tee-time options. There will be a morning (8 a.m. start) flight and an afternoon (1 p.m. start) flight. There will be a limit of 21 teams per flight, given to teams on a first come, first serve basis.  

Prizes will be awarded to winners in each of these categories at the end of the event: Longest Drive for both Men and Women; Longest Putt; Closest to the Pin; and prizes for 1st , 2nd , and 3rd place teams.

Heartland REMC will once again be sponsoring the Hole-In-One contest, which will include opportunities to win cash prizes for landing holes in one.
