Grow Wabash County welcomes McKenzie Moorman as spring intern

    February 12, 2025

Wabash County, IN – Grow Wabash County would like to welcome Southwood High school student, McKenzie Moorman, as the organization’s intern for spring 2025.

Moorman is a senior at Southwood, set to graduate in the spring of 2025. She is an active participant in the Southwood Band and Choir and has also been a member of Honeywell’s County Honor Band and Choir. Additionally, she completed her final season with the Southwood Cheerleading squad this previous fall.

Moorman plans to pursue a four-year degree in Business Management through Purdue Fort Wayne University’s online courses and aims to secure jobs in the business field. She hopes to gain hands-on experience through this internship to ensure she possesses the necessary skills for her future career.

“We are thrilled to welcome McKenzie to Grow Wabash County as our spring intern,” Jana Thibos, project manager for investor services and events, said. “It's exciting to have a talented high school student like her join our team, and we’re eager to provide her with valuable real-world experience that will help shape her future career in business. McKenzie’s enthusiasm and drive are a perfect fit for our organization, and we look forward to working alongside her in the coming months.”

During her internship, Moorman will help the team promote and execute a variety of Grow Wabash County events as well as complete various research projects to aid in the team’s ongoing efforts to attract and retain businesses in Wabash County.
