Wabash County, IN __Grow Wabash County invites the community to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Wine & Cheese and Ice Cream & Candy Shoppes in Charley Creek Inn with a ribbon-cutting at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 5.

In January 2021, Charley Creek Inn announced that it would be rearranging its shops’ locations. The Wine & Cheese Shoppe would move into the former Ice Cream & Candy Shoppe location and vice versa.

“With the success of the Wine & Cheese Shoppe in The Courtyard last summer and having to turn away guests due to the extremely limited seating during the pandemic,” Kari Highley, director of marketing and sales at Charley Creek Inn, said. “We felt relating the Shoppes would help us better accommodate the larger clientele the Wine & Cheese Shoppe brings in… The Ice Cream & Candy Shoppe now feels quainter and radiates its small-town charm and sweet nostalgia in its cozy setting.”

In its new location, the Wine & Cheese Shoppe can now accommodate up to 30 patrons at various tables set up around the shop. The new space will also allow the shop to expand its offerings via the Richard Ford Tasting Bar which will offer tastings of bourbon, whiskey and other hard liquors.

With the added space, Highley and the Charley Creek Inn are also hopeful that the Wine & Cheese Shoppe will become an even more popular attraction for local residents and out of town visitors.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand re-opening of the Charley Creek Shoppes will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 5 at the entrance located between the two shoppes. The community and media are encouraged to join and celebrate this exciting occasion.
