Wabash County, IN  – Grow Wabash County and the Fort Wayne Komets invite the Wabash County community to be the MVPs at the Fort Wayne Komets game on Friday, March 24 for Wabash County Night.

As one of the Komets’ dedicated “community nights,” hockey fans are encouraged to show up and celebrate not only the Komets as they take on the Rapid City Rush, but Wabash County and all of the great things happening in the community.

“The Komets Organization always look forward to our Wabash Night every season,” Mitch Meinholz, director of sales and events for the Komets, said. “It’s a great way to reach out to communities outside of Fort Wayne and have them involved. It allows for families to have a night out, friends to enjoy each other’s company or for businesses to be able to reward their employees, customers, clients, vendors and more. We always look forward to this night every year!”

Local leaders will join the players and Grow Wabash County on the ice for the ceremonial puck drop to kick-off the game. There will also be ample opportunity throughout the night for Wabash County to be in the spotlight with various games and events that make the Komets games such a fun night out for everyone.

“Komets Night has become a beloved tradition for Grow Wabash County and the Wabash County community, Keith Gillenwater, president and CEO of Grow Wabash County, said. “It’s a great way to show the rest of northeast Indiana the great things happening in Wabash County and highlight the community champions who have helped make Wabash County so great.”

Wabash County Night at the Komets will be on Friday, March 24, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Avenue, Fort Wayne. Game time is 8 p.m.

In addition to being in the spotlight during the game, Wabash County businesses and community members can get into the game for a reduced price. While supplies last, tickets can be bought for $17 or $22 per ticket at www.fevo.me/wabashnight4 or by contacting Mitch Meinholz at mitch@komets.com or by calling 260-482-6812.
