Registration open for Leadership Development 2023 - 2024 cohort

    August 16, 2023

Wabash County, IN  – Grow Wabash County is thrilled to once again be hosting its Leadership Development Wabash County (LDWC) program. Registration is open for the 2023-2024 program cohort.

This eight-month program challenges young professionals and emerging leaders to further develop their leadership skills by equipping them with the tools and concepts to better understand themselves, harness their leadership style and best apply their strengths to make an impact in Wabash County.

The LDWC program will meet every third Thursday between October 2023 and May 2024 to attend classes at various locations around the county in order to better acquaint these leaders with the many assets and resources Wabash County has to offer. Some of the programming slated for this cohort include: DISC and StrengthsFinder assessments, panels with local leaders and organizations, as well as a community service project that will pull the leaders outside of the classroom and into the Wabash County community to make an impact.

In addition to learning about personal leadership and the Wabash County community, presenters from Indiana University Kokomo and Asher Agency’s Anthony Juliano will present on topics relevant to effective leadership such as communication skills for today’s leaders, valuing differences, public speaking, emotional intelligence, effective meeting strategies, and conflict resolution.

Tuition for this program is $700 for GWC Investors and $800 for the general public. The tuition covers all course materials, assessments, meals and snacks provided throughout the 8-month program.

Grow Wabash County will also award full tuition to one LDWC applicant through the Jim Smith Scholarship, named for Jim Smith, who retired from his position as head facilitator for the LDWC program in 2020. Applications for the scholarship are now open at www.growwabashcounty.com/jimsmithscholarship.

Those interested in sponsoring this year’s program or registering themselves or representatives from their company for the 2023-2024 LDWC cohort can do so online at www.growwabashcounty.com/ldwc2324 or by contacting Grow Wabash County at 260-563-5258 or info@growwabashcounty.com.
