Wabash County, IN – Grow Wabash County invites its investors and local business owners to take a crash course in marketing fundamentals with Angie Harrison on Wednesday, Feb. 21.

This “Marketing Basics” educational event will feature entrepreneurship coach, Angie Harrison, who will talk about how to strategize business development by utilizing the Lean Canvas approach.
This workshop will be hands-on, and will challenge business owners to creatively and intentionally think through several aspects such as customer segments, determining their target marketing, the problems they are solving, how they differ from competitors, reviewing revenue streams, and considerations of branding.

“Marketing is a big word in business and is where many business owners often feel stuck. Yet it drives success in sales and customer growth,” Harrison said. “It doesn't have to feel overwhelming. With a few foundational strategies in place, it can lead to greater satisfaction as a business owner and stronger profit margins.”

Harrison has an extensive background in the world of business and entrepreneurship, especially in the areas of retail management and community development. Her experience in education also shines through as she works in her current role as a coach for the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC), where she mentors entrepreneurs and business owners at all stages in their business journey to start and maintain their businesses.

“We are thrilled to have Angie’s expertise as we work to expand our supports and services for entrepreneurs in Wabash County,” Jana Thibos, project manager for investor services and events, said. “Wabash County has fostered an incredible environment to support our small business owners and entrepreneurs and our partnership with the NIIC and Angie only enhances our ability to empower our local business community as they work to innovate and grow.”

The “Marketing Basics” educational event will take place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21 in the Grow Wabash County community room, 214 South Wabash Street in Wabash. Attendance to this event is free, but registration is requested as space is limited.
